Considered one of Europe’s most beautiful canyons The Gorges du Verdon stretches approx. 25 kilometers and are at places 700 meters deep. The canyon formed by the Verdon River that runs from the mountains sources by La Foux d’Allos through Lake Castillon, through the spectacular canyons into the artificial lake of Lac Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon

The lakes and the river serves as an active run-away-place to during hot summer months with cool mountain water and has ample of rental places for kayaks, paddle boats and other watersports equipments.

Clad with limestone walls the canyon also attracts many rock climbers and hiker’s alike.
